Chenoweth Tree Planting Event with TreesLouisville

Chenoweth Elementary
Help us plant 52+ new trees to beautify our campus with help from TreesLouisville! Kids are welcome to assist in the planting efforts with adult supervision. There will be a select number of tree seedlings to giveaway to volunteers at the conclusion of the event thanks to the Jefferson County Soil and Water Conservation District.

We have an incredible opportunity through TreesLouisville and a generous community partner to plant 30-50 brand new trees on Chenoweth’s campus this spring. With this gift comes some responsibility on our part to keep the trees watered! The more commitment we have from our families NOW, the more trees the PTA can feel comfortable investing in! Lunchroom Volunteers are needed each school day from 11:10am-2:15pm to assist with wiping tables, opening packages, sweeping, etc. When there is an extra set of hands and eyes in the lunchroom, the staff members and teachers that typically have to work in the lunchroom during that time are freed up so they can tend to other important tasks! Sign up for a 1-2 hour shift or make it a weekly or monthly occurrence! This is also a fun way to see and interact with your student and meet their friends at school.
