What are the dates of the 2026 Charger Challenge Fundraiser?
The Charger Challenge runs from September 14–25, 2026.

What is our fundraising goal?
Our goal is to raise $20,000 to support Chenoweth Elementary students, programs, and experiences!

What are the donations used for?
Funds raised through the Charger Challenge help support classroom supplies, free family events, arts & enrichment programming, campus improvements, and more for our Chenoweth students and staff.

Do I need to register my student?
Registration is not required to make a donation, but we strongly encourage families to register each Chenoweth student! This allows us to track each student’s fundraising progress for individual incentives like prize drawings!

Registering also creates a unique fundraising page for your student that can easily be shared with family and friends. Plus, every student who registers will receive 1 ticket to use in the Prize Stable at the end of the fundraiser and be entered into our Week 1 prize drawing!

When does registration open?
You can begin registering students on the first day of the Charger Challenge – Monday, September 14.

How do I register my student?
– Click the BLUE REGISTER button on the Charger Challenge Givebacks page.
– Enter your student’s first and last name and YOUR email address.
– Choose your student’s teacher from the dropdown menu.
– Optional: Set a fundraising goal, personalize your student’s page with a photo and short message, and/or sign up to receive email notifications when a donation is made.
– Get started! Copy your student’s unique fundraising link and share it with family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, or on social media.

I have more than one student at Chenoweth. Do I register each child?
Yes! Please register each student separately so each child has their own fundraising page and can participate in individual incentives.

Does registering mean I have to donate?
No! Registration is completely free and does not require your family to make a donation.

Once registered, simply sharing your student’s fundraising link with friends and family is a great way to participate in the Charger Challenge. With your help, we can spread the word and raise more for our students, teachers and campus!

Each registered student will receive 1 ticket to use in the Prize Stable at the end of the fundraiser and be entered into our Week 1 prize drawing!

How do I make a donation to this year’s Fall Fundraiser?
There are three ways to donate to the Charger Challenge:
1. Online through the Charger Challenge Givebacks page.
2. Check — checks should be made payable to Chenoweth Elementary PTA.
3. Cash.

Please place cash, coin and check donations in a sealed envelope or ziplock bag labeled with the student’s name and the name of their teacher.

Piggy Bank Fridays: Send cash, check and change donations to school with your student on Friday, September 18 or Friday, September 25 when PTA volunteers will be on site to collect them. PTA volunteers will collect the donations between 10 a.m. and Noon on those two days.

If I donate using cash or check, will my student and/or class receive credit?
Yes. PTA volunteers will track and enter cash/check donations so they can be credited appropriately.
Please clearly include your student’s name and teacher with the donation so we know where to apply the credit.
Donations must be received by the campaign deadline (Sept. 25) to count toward final fundraising totals and competitions.

Piggy Bank Fridays: Send cash, check and change donations to school with your student on Friday, September 18 and Friday, September 25 when PTA volunteers will be on site to collect them.

I have multiple students at Chenoweth. Can they each receive credit for online donations?
Yes! If you would like donations credited to multiple students, donations can be added to your cart for each student and completed in one checkout.

Do I need to sign up or log in to Givebacks to make a donation?
Donors do not need to create an account or log in to support the Charger Challenge, BUT we are encouraging families to create an account for each student to track registration and donations for individual incentive prizes.

When donating, you can choose to credit a specific student or classroom, or simply make a general donation.

What if our family can’t afford to donate? Can my student still participate?
ABSOLUTELY! There is no required donation amount to participate in the Charger Challenge. There are plenty of ways for students and families to participate without making a donation:

– Register your student — registration is free! Every registered student receives 1 ticket to use in the Prize Stable at the end of the fundraiser and is entered into our Week 1 prize drawing!
– Share your student’s fundraising page with friends, family, neighbors, and other supporters.
– Participate in the Charger Creativity Challenge to earn a bonus Prize Stable ticket — no fundraising required!
– Join in the classroom challenges and school-wide celebrations that are for all students.

Every gift—large or small—helps, but the Charger Challenge is about our whole school community participating together. We want every student to be part of the fun, regardless of how much their family is able to give.

What are this year’s incentives?
We’ll have a mix of individual, classroom, and school-wide incentives to keep the Charger Challenge exciting throughout the two weeks!

Classroom Incentives Return!
– First Day Challenge: Popcorn Party for the class that has the most students registered on the first day.
– End of Week 1: Donut Party for the class that raises the most during the first week.
– Overall: Pizza Party for the class that raises the most by the end of the Challenge.

NEW Individual Incentives!
– Every student who registers will receive 1 ticket to use in the Prize Stable at the end of the fundraiser and be entered into our Week 1 prize drawing.
– Students can earn tickets to shop at the Charger Prize Stable by reaching fundraising milestones and participating in our Creativity Challenge. (Continue reading for more on Prize Stable.)
– Week 1 Giveaway: Every student registered by Sept. 18 is entered automatically for a chance to win. No donation required! 7 winners drawn will get to select a prize from the Prize Paddock!
– Grand Prize: Students who raise $500+ by Sept. 25 will be entered into a Grand Prize drawing.

School-wide Incentives
– $12,000 — Charger Takeover Day! We’ll celebrate with a school-wide day of extra fun, including pajamas, hats, stuffed animals, music, and plenty of Charger spirit.
– $20,000 — Mega Recess! If we hit our goal, the entire school will unlock an extended recess celebration after Fall Break with extra time to play and fun additions like music, bubbles, and classic playground games.

What is the Charger Prize Stable?
Think arcade prize counter—but Charger style! Students can earn Prize Stable tickets by reaching individual fundraising milestones and participating in our Creativity Challenge.

💙 Raise $35 = 1 ticket
⚡ Raise $75 = 2 tickets
🚀 Raise $150 = 3 tickets
⭐ Raise $300+ = 4 tickets (maximum)
🎨 Creativity Challenge = 1 ticket

Students can earn up to 6 Prize Stable tickets throughout the Challenge (fundraising tickets are based on the highest milestone reached and do not stack). After the campaign, students will have an opportunity to redeem their earned tickets at the Prize Stable, featuring prizes at different ticket levels.

What if my student doesn’t raise a lot of money?
That’s okay! The Charger Challenge is designed so students can participate in several different ways. Registration is free, and every registered student receives 1 ticket to use in the Prize Stable at the end of the fundraiser and is entered into our Week 1 prize drawing. The Creativity Challenge provides another opportunity to earn a Prize Stable ticket without fundraising.

Our goal is to make fundraising fun—not to make students or families feel pressured about how much they raise.

How can I volunteer to help?
There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer your time to support the Charger Challenge and PTA activities throughout the year! For the Charger Challenge, we’ll need support:

– Coordinating all of our fun incentives, including the new Prize Stable
– Organizing and hosting Mega Recess, the end of fundraiser celebration we’ll host if we reach our goal!

What is the Creativity Challenge?
The Creativity Challenge is a fun, non-fundraising way for students to participate in the Charger Challenge. Each student who participates earns a Prize Stable ticket! Using the provided entry sheet, or other art materials of their choosing, students imagine how Charger Charlie, the Chenoweth Charger mascot, spends his weekend. They get to use their creativity and imagination to create artwork showing what they think Charlie likes to do for fun!

How can students participate in the Creativity Challenge?
The Creativity Challenge is open to all Chenoweth students. Students can participate by illustrating how they think Charger Charlie likes to spend his weekend using the provided entry sheet or art materials of their choice. Entry sheets will be sent home with students in their Wednesday folder on September 9. Entry sheets can also be picked up from Ms. King’s art classroom or printed at home using this link: Creativity Challenge entry sheet.

What is the deadline to submit an entry for the Creativity Challenge?
The deadline to submit an entry for the Creativity Challenge is Friday, September 25. Completed entries should be submitted to Ms. King in the art classroom.

What are the rules of the Creativity Challenge?
The Creativity Challenge is open to all students, one entry per student. The use of AI and tracing is not permitted. No digital submissions, please. To receive a Prize Stable ticket and to be considered for additional recognition (TBA), submissions must be submitted to Ms. King by the end of the school day on Friday, September 25.

How does my student claim their Prize Stable ticket?
Prize Stable tickets will be tracked by the PTA and distributed after Fall Break. The date for students to shop the Prize Stable will also be announced after Fall Break.

What other recognition will students receive?
Student artwork may be judged and selected for additional recognition. More details coming soon.
