In November 2025, Chenoweth hosted our 2nd annual Family Culture Showcase and it was just as magical, colorful, and JOYFUL as we imagined it would be. CLICK TO VIEW PHOTOS
A BIG thank you to the students, families, and staff that shared their heritage or meaningful family traditions through an activity or craft, a display or slideshow, or a dazzling performance on the dance floor. Thanks to the families that came to learn, listen, try something new, and celebrate our school community and everything that makes Chenoweth so special. To the all the volunteers that pitched in to decorate, move tables, pick up food samples, set-up, clean-up, and more… thank you. And of course, thank you to the dedicated team of teachers, staff, and parent volunteers that made this important annual tradition happen. ![]()

- Maria Marchal Photography for lending her talents and documenting the beautiful evening.

- The local restaurants that generously donated apps, treats, and other small bites for the event! These donations allowed families to sample flavors from a variety of different cuisines.

When: Tuesday, November 18, 2025 (6-8pm)
Where: Chenoweth Elementary
Celebrate Chenoweth Elementary’s diverse community and learn about other cultures, including meaningful traditions shared by friends and classmates! Parents, students, and teachers will share different aspects of their heritage or cultural traditions through activities, displays, and performances stationed throughout the school.
The night features food samples from various cuisines and performances by Cultura Philippines, Aseye Ensemble, Louisville Pipe Band, and traditional Indian and Rwandan dances by Chenoweth students. Our friends at the Louisville Free Public Library, Change Today, Change Tomorrow, and Broadway Arts Academy will also be there to share information about their programs and services.
IMPORTANT: We’re still in need of volunteers! With 20 booths, 7 performances, food samples from 15+ restaurants — we need more helping hands to ensure the night is fun and safe for all Charger families. Please consider donating an hour of your time for this important and meaningful event.
Are you interested in teaching a game, dance, song, craft, or your native language? Consider sharing photos of your hometown or home country, or play music, display art or traditional clothing. There are no rules… we just want to learn about your family.
Email Jenny Baughman if you are interested in volunteering or joining the committee to help plan this special event!
